New EON Website
I am proud to announce the publication of the new EMPOWERNB.COM!!!!
I am very proud of our new design. The background photo is actually an aerial shot from 1964. The basic concept was to have a panes of glass floating above the city that were clear except for the words - representing the transparency and accountability in EON seeks to create in our public institutions.
In addition to our new design. We have many new features. Here's a few of the new things.
Community Calendar - Showing all official city public meetings as well as EON events.
Project Management Tools - You will notice a new section called Groups. All EON members are entitled and encouraged to create a group for whatever project they may be working on. Other EON members can join your group and you use the built in tools to help you get things done.
Some of the group features include: Group Calendar, Shared documents and spreadsheets, File upload repository (great for sharing docs), Video uploads, Meeting minutes storage and best of all task management, with a built-in reminder system.
User Profiles - Users have their own profile page where they can update us with contact info, upload their own user pic, and see what tasks have been assigned to them.
We have kept the features of the old site going as well, such as the community forum, ward campaign documents, Press Coverage (with commenting) and spanish translation.
This was all developed in house by our System's Team at no cost to EON.
I want to thank all the people past and present who have worked on the empowernb.com project. Dominic Bombace, Amy Braunstein, Yael Bromberg, Jordan Bucey, Christina Entcheva, Seth Fisher, Brent Klokis, Matt Korostoff, Charlie Kratovil, Anthony Shull and especially Matt Sielski who taught me how to make these things.
This is a been a great project to be a part of. I look forward to many more years of organizing with you all for a better New Brunswick.
Sincerely and In Solidarity,
Sean Monahan
